Salesforce ships seven named Agentforce agents — Hunter runs an outbound pipeline for weeks, Piper qualifies inbound leads
Six of seven "job-ready" agents are generally available now; Hunter, the outbound sales agent, is in pilot on a new long-horizon runtime, with GA planned for November 2026.
Salesforce on September 11 introduced seven named “job-ready” Agentforce agents, each pitched less as a configurable framework than as a hire. Six are generally available now: Piper for inbound pipeline, Carter for in-chat commerce checkout, Casey for help across voice and SMS and WhatsApp and web, Paige for IT and HR requests, Marshall for supply chain execution with a full audit record, and Fin for customer operations, running on a set of custom models Salesforce calls Fin Apex and an agent named Operator. Hunter, the outbound sales agent, is in pilot, with GA planned for November 2026.
Hunter is the interesting one. It runs on a new long-horizon runtime, which SiliconAngle notes is exclusive to Hunter at launch, built on persistent memory, durable execution, and dynamic steering constrained by Agent Script, Salesforce’s open-source language for combining reasoning with deterministic rules. In practice: the agent works a deal from research to outreach across weeks, not turns.
The naming is the tell. Piper, Hunter, Carter, Paige. This is Salesforce translating agentic AI out of engineering vocabulary and into the org chart, which is where CFOs actually decide to spend.
The customer numbers, per Salesforce and flagged by Startup Fortune as vendor-reported rather than independent, are the marketing scaffolding for that translation. At Perk, Hunter builds 60% of pipeline. At Asana, Piper drives 4x conversation volume, with an average 45-day deployment. Engine’s help agent Eva resolves 50% of chat inquiries. Autism Queensland routes 70% of administrative requests through Paige. Hibbett runs 90% of core shopper journeys through Hibbett AI after a six-week go-live. Anthropic, now a Salesforce customer, sees 79% of the conversations Fin touches resolved autonomously.
Fin itself is the acquired asset formerly known as Intercom, deal announced in June, closed September 10 for roughly $3.6 billion, bringing 30,000+ customer companies into the Salesforce fold. Multi-Agent Orchestration is GA; AI Skills in Agentforce Coworker and Agent Optimizer are slated for October. Collectively, Agentforce and Slack have delivered 7 billion Agentic Work Units, with 3.2 billion in Q2 alone, a metric Salesforce introduced on February 25, 2026.
Read alongside Agentforce clearing $1.5 billion in ARR at 240%+ growth in Q2 FY27, and Salesforce putting its CRM inside Claude, the strategy resolves: sell the roles, not the platform. Enterprise DNA notes the announcement was staged ahead of Dreamforce, September 15–17 in San Francisco. The keynote is a formality; the pricing conversation already started.
