Floqer pitches continuous AI prospect research at Disrupt, with open-source database targeted for early 2027
The Halifax startup made Startup Battlefield's Top 20 at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 after crossing $1.2M ARR, previewing what always-on prospecting could look like for small B2B sales teams.
Floqer, the Halifax outfit founded in 2024 by co-founders Shivam Mahajan and Zaaheda Islam, took the Startup Battlefield stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 on Wednesday with a pitch, a growth curve, and an open-source promise. The company disclosed $1.2 million in ARR, revenue growing roughly tenfold over the past year, and plans to release the technology behind its customer-knowledge database as open source in early 2027, pending security reviews. It landed in the Top 20 announced the day before, though not the five finalists (Apate.ai, Flox Intelligence, Intero Biosystems, Industrial Next, and Satlyt) who advanced to Thursday’s final.
The pitch itself is the news. Floqer described streamlining B2B sales by enriching customer data across 80+ sources and stitching every interaction into one millisecond-retrievable timeline for AI agents to act on. The production system reaches more than 100 third-party data sources. Eight employees, more than 1,000 customers (Perplexity, Wise, and AngelList among them), $2 million in pre-seed funding led in part by Perplexity’s F7 Fund, with Perplexity co-founder Denis Yarats personally in the round. Customers report cutting prospecting time by as much as 70%.
The pivot story is familiar in a useful way. Enterprise users of Floqer’s earlier Chrome extension were, the co-founders say, trying to clean CRM data manually. That observation, that even well-resourced revenue teams were doing stenography on their own systems, is the opening the current product walks through.
Position it alongside HubSpot wiring live G2 buyer-intent signals into its Breeze assistant and ZoomInfo pushing buying-signal intelligence directly into Superhuman Go, and the category outline is visible. Research is moving from a thing sellers do to a thing that happens before they arrive, continuously, in the background, for sales teams of roughly five to thirty people who can’t staff a research function.
Open-sourcing the knowledge-database layer, if it ships on schedule, is the more interesting signal. Incumbents monetize that layer. Floqer is proposing to give it away and compete on the agents.
