Salesforce bakes ZoomInfo and Demandbase into Hunter, its forthcoming outbound sales agent

The two flagship data partners will ship inside Sales Cloud with no separate contract when Hunter reaches general availability later this year.

At Dreamforce in San Francisco on October 15, Salesforce named ZoomInfo (NASDAQ: GTM) and Demandbase as flagship data partners for Hunter, its forthcoming outbound sales agent. Both will ship inside Sales Cloud with no separate contract when Hunter reaches general availability later this year. Rohan Punamia, VP of Product Management at Salesforce, confirmed ZoomInfo ships out-of-the-box.

That packaging is the whole story. For years, the economics of outbound sales have assumed that CRM, prospect data, and intent signals live in separate billing relationships, each with its own seat count and its own tab in the rep’s browser. Hunter collapses that stack into one approval surface. The agent learns a team’s sales motion from calls, emails, and notes, surfaces its reasoning, and asks for rep sign-off before acting on judgment calls, operating entirely within Salesforce’s existing permissions model.

The underlying data is the point. ZoomInfo’s GTM Context Graph covers more than 100 million companies, 500 million contacts, and billions of signals, piped in through its headless GTM.AI layer that already powers Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot Studio, HubSpot Breeze, and Gong. Demandbase arrives via its MCP server on AgentExchange, letting reps use natural-language prompts to pull ranked engagement data, including buying-group composition and intent.

Dennis Sevilla, Chief Strategy Officer at ZoomInfo, framed the gap this way: “Every AI sales agent runs into the same limit: it can only reason over what’s already in the CRM… That’s the difference between an agent that summarizes last quarter and one that knows what changed at an account this morning.” Christopher Amabile, VP, Global Partner Ecosystems at Demandbase, said reps will “immediately identify and prioritize the most engaged prospects, natively within Agentforce.”

Hunter lands inside a visible October pattern. HubSpot wired G2 buyer-intent signals into its Breeze assistant earlier this month, and ZoomInfo integrated directly with Superhuman Go days before that. The incumbent-plus-signal-vendor bundle is becoming the default agent configuration.

One caveat worth sitting with. Hunter remains in pilot, and Yahoo Finance has already flagged that investors should watch how quickly it moves to broad availability. The partnership architecture is settled; the delivery date isn’t.
